This policy forms part of the Terms of Service and applies to everyone you give access to your instance. It is short on purpose: the aim is a service that stays available and trustworthy for every customer, not an exhaustive list of misconduct.
Do not use CADRE to
- Break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Store or transmit malware, or anything designed to damage or covertly access a system.
- Attempt to access another customer's instance or data, or any part of the platform you have not been granted access to.
- Probe, scan or test the security of the platform without our written permission — see Security testing below.
- Circumvent access controls, seat limits, rate limits or other technical restrictions.
- Place a load on the service that degrades it for others, whether through automation, bulk requests or otherwise.
- Resell, sublicense or provide the service to a third party as a service of your own, unless your agreement says you may.
- Send unsolicited bulk messages, or use the service to harass anyone.
Data you put into CADRE
You are responsible for having the right to hold and process the information you put in, and for telling the people it concerns whatever the law requires you to tell them.
CADRE is designed for competency and training records. Do not submit special-category or highly regulated data — health records, financial account numbers, government identity numbers, or classified or controlled unclassified information — unless we have agreed it with you in writing first. The service has not been assessed for those categories in this hosted environment, and agreeing it in advance is how we make sure it is handled properly rather than merely accepted.
Decisions about people
CADRE produces analytics and inferences about individual competence, including model-based estimates. These are decision support, not determinations. If you use them in decisions that materially affect someone — assignment, promotion, certification, discipline — you are responsible for human review of those decisions, and for complying with the employment, equality and automated-decision-making law that applies to you.
Security testing
We welcome security research and would rather hear about a flaw than not. Contact security@eduworks.com before testing so we can agree scope and timing. Testing against your own instance, within an agreed scope, is fine; testing that risks other customers' instances or the shared platform is not. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue in good faith and follows this process.
If this policy is breached
Where we can, we will tell you and give you a chance to put it right. Where the breach threatens the security, integrity or availability of the platform or another customer, we may suspend the instance immediately and tell you afterwards. Suspension does not delete your data.
